Formally "owned" by the UK, but leased by the USA, who have established a naval base on the main island Diego Garcia.

Réunion
Governed by France.
St Helena
Governed by UK.
Spanish North Africa.
Governed by Spain. SNA comprises the towns of Ceuta and Melilla, together with Velez de la Gomera, Alcuhemas amd Islas Chafarinas.
Western Sahara = Sahrawi Republic
Western Sahara, or the Sahrawi Republic, was briefly independent during 1975-76, but is now governed by Morocco.
