BRITISH WEST AFRICAN TERRITORIES

During 1821 to 1850, British West Africa consisted of Gambia, Sierra Leone and Ghana (Gold Coast). They were commonly referred to as British West African Territories.

Later, they were more commonly referred to as the British West African Settlements.
